Moorlands District Banging the Drum
Moorlands District had an opportunity to try out their ideas ready for their celebration camp in 2007.
On the 17th and 18th September over 100 boys and girls gathered together at Consall Camp Site to take part in many activities organised for them by their District Team, lead by Graham Alcock the District Commissioner.
Throughout the weekend they tried their hand at Orienteering, Pioneering, Archery, Abseling, Face Painting and many other activities. On Sunday the camp was visited by the Mayors of Leek and Cheadle together with the Chairman of the Moorlands District Council.
One of the highlights of the weekend was a marching Display by the Scout Band from the 5th Leek Group.
